Personal training provides the opportunity to add even more wellness into our lives. Being under San Luis Obispo's natural sunlight, breathing fresh air, and grounding our feet to the earth is where the best gyms are found and how we maximize our training time.
We train where it is most comfortable and feels safe. While traditional gyms can be effective, training for life requires being where life happens. This means in-home personal training, mobile personal training such as in nature or parks, or a partner gym if necessary. We are able to be mobile all across all of San Luis Obispo County.
Our operation is a mobile personal training gym/coaching/wellness facility that comes to you. This includes in-home personal training. That means all equipment is provided for all of your training sessions. The only thing you need to bring are the clothes on your back and the readiness to embody the best version of yourself.
Your customized training program is based on your personal posture assessments and your goals. Marrying these two together, every program will include a warm-up with self-myofascial release and dynamic stretching, core activation, skill development based on your goals, resistance training based on the five basic movement patterns, a client's choice segment, and a cool down with self-myofascial release and stretching,
Life's basic movements include squatting, hip hinging, pushing, pulling, and pressing. Gait, and twisting are also considered to be basic movement patterns. Our training focuses on the first five in order to get our bodies strong in ways that life demands.
Life's movement happens in one or more of the three planes of motion. These include the sagittal plane, the frontal plane, and the transverse plane. Our training designs input all three planes of motion so our bodies, and joints, stay limber enough to effectively move us through the motions of life.
Whether it is during a sporting activity or simply playing with your kids/grandkids/fur babies, balance keeps us upright and on our feet. We train to improve balance, so we are ready to wibble and wobble with life without missing a beat.
Nobody wants to be down and out for life, and injury is one of the most common ways to get there. Thats why our training programs design in the necessary adaptations our bodies require in order to help prevent us from getting injured in the first place. Building muscle mass helps soften damage both from the outside, as well as metabolically from the inside. Keeping bones strong helps ensure we stay resilient especially when mistakes happen like trips, slips and falls. Expanding our joint range of motion helps keep us loose, limber, and functional. All of these components are input into the design of our custom training programs so we can continue to do the things we love to do even as we age.
We understand everyone has different goals, and we love and respect that. Our goals do not include muscle hypertrophy for body building, powerlifting, or competitive athletic performance.
